Version 3.0.1 (BETA)  Main Features/Changes

  • Added data input error handling replacing the cryptic system messages, particularly when mandatory fields and blanked.
  • Fixed ordering by Order number under the ICE tab.
  • Fixed error opening the user profile form after not saving an add new user function (therefore SUID is Null). Now lands on the opening record SUID000001
  • Fixed TnC Print function when print file is locked giving either Bad file mode(54) or Bad file name or number(52) errors.
  • Prevented simultaneous instances of SUD application on the same workstation (or Remote Desktop Session).
  • Add extra user information, taken from Active Directory, in LogError and UsageLog.
  • Manage interface rights by membership of three Active Directory groups ‘SUD Guests’ (no edits), ‘SUD Users’ (edits but no deletions) and ‘SUD Admin’.
  • Added additional filter controls to the Database Usage Chart.
  • When a SUID hyperlink is clicked to launch the corresponding user profile, background activity is indicated with the Hourglass icon.

  1. Re •Prevented simultaneous instances of SUD application

    This is a shame – I have found it very hand to have the SUD open more than once as it does allow for more than one window to be open in the same ‘instance’. I use is most in the following way:

    1) I make a phonecall regard and SU to another worker/agency, so I open up a ‘contact’ to log note of conversation as I go.
    2) That worker/agency then asked for some detail re that SU.
    3) It is a pain to then close ‘contact’ so I open another ‘instance’ of SUD reopen that SUs file and look up relevant info

    I do this quite often and find it very helpful.

    Is it really necessary to loose this functionality, or is it really not possible to open more than one window in the same ‘instance’?

    1. This is acceptable with the current database backend but causes issues when linked to SQL Server.
      You should be able to open a second Remote Desktop Session.

      1. The network no longer allows me to open a second session – it used to, but this seems to have changed in the last 6 months or so – good creative thinking though….
